A note from Julie
I was a band kid. I know how much this music—and the people who teach it—can mean in a student’s life.
Every piece I write begins with a story I believe is worth hearing. My background in film and orchestration helps me bring those stories to life, but the connection between the music, the players, and the audience is what matters most.
I want students to feel something when they play. To find something of themselves in the music. To be inspired to work at it and proud to share it.
I would write for band even if I never earned a penny from doing it.
