She recalled a happier time, a tour of the British Isles she had taken in 2019 with conductor Jason Noble and his Scarsdale (N.Y.) High School Band. She especially remembered the beauty of Ireland and its major river, the Shannon, and decided to write a work to recall that beauty.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis work received its premiere by the Lone Star Wind Orchestra in a virtual performance.
